When buying email credits, attachment data, or personalized PDF pages, you can choose between a monthly or pay-as-you-go plan.
For the same level of service, a monthly plan is cheaper than a pay-as-you-go plan because it is valid for 1 month only and requires a recurring payment. If you pay quarterly or yearly, you can save even more.
A pay-as-you-go plan is more expensive but flexible because it is valid for 12 months. Therefore, a monthly plan is ideal for regular senders, while a pay-as-you-go plan is more suitable for large ad-hoc senders.
You can have the advantages of both by buying them together. We always use the plan that expires sooner. We’ll also use multiple plans when a single plan is not enough to send a campaign. These result in the lowest recurring cost for your regular campaigns while maintaining flexibility for seasonal ad-hoc campaigns.
If you buy a monthly plan, you’ll receive the plan every month for the duration covered by your payment. You should be aware of the dates of service provision and subscription renewal, especially if you want to place an order on the 29th, 30th, or 31st of a month.
Generally, you receive your monthly plan on the same day of every month as you initially place the order. We’ll also automatically renew your subscription and charge you at the end of your chosen payment cycle.
For example, if you order on 15 Jan and choose to prepay monthly, you’ll receive a monthly plan on the 15th of every month (i.e., 15 Jan, 15 Feb, 15 Mar, etc.). Moreover, your subscription renews on the 15th of every month with a monthly payment.
If you choose to prepay quarterly (prepay 3 months), you’ll still receive a monthly plan on the 15th of every month. However, your subscription will renew on 15 Apr with a quarterly payment.
If you choose to prepay yearly (prepay 12 months), your subscription will renew on 15 Jan of the following year with a yearly payment.
What if you buy on 31 Jan? Since there is no 31st in every month, we cannot provide your monthly plan or renew your subscription on the 31st accordingly.
Consider the following:
The following example shows a monthly plan service period for an order placed on 31 Jan on a leap year:
Month | Service Period in Theory | Real Service Period |
---|---|---|
January | 31 Jan - 30 Feb | 31 Jan - 28 Feb |
February | 31 Feb - 30 Mar | 29 Feb - 30 Mar |
March | 31 Mar - 30 Apr | 31 Mar - 29 Apr |
April | 31 Apr - 30 May | 30 Apr - 30 May |
May | 31 May - 30 Jun | 31 May - 29 Jun |
... |
The date and time of every plan provision, expiry, and renewal date are based on Hong Kong Time (UTC+08:00).
If you have difficulty understanding the date adjustment, contact us or avoid placing an order on the 29th, 30th, or 31st of any month.
