If you would like to add any file with your campaign email, you can send them by our attachment sending service with a subscription to an attachment data plan.
To determine how much attachment data you need, sum up the size of all attachments and multiply with the number of recipients in a campaign. For example:
To send campaign emails with personalized attachments, you need to subscribe to Personalized PDF Pages. Instead of charging by the total file size of all attachments, it is charged by the number of pages of your source documents for PDF generation (doc/docx files), times the number of recipients. For example:
Email marketing campaigns charge email credits. One email credit for one email sent.
SMS marketing campaigns charge SMS credits. Along with the number of recipients, the following two factors will also affect the number of SMS credits you need with a campaign:
The maximum number of characters you can put in a standard SMS message is 160 for English only or 70 for content with non-English characters (any double-byte characters, e.g., Chinese). Any message with a content length above these limits will be regarded as a Long SMS message where multiple SMS credits will charge. See the below table for the character limits of different message sizes:
Maximum Characters | SMS Credits Needed | |
---|---|---|
Content with English Characters Only | 160 | 1 |
306 (Long SMS) | 2 | |
459 (Long SMS) | 3 | |
612 (Long SMS) | 4 | |
765 (Long SMS) | 5 | |
Content with non-English Characters | 70 | 1 |
134 (Long SMS) | 2 | |
201 (Long SMS) | 3 | |
268 (Long SMS) | 4 | |
335 (Long SMS) | 5 |
While the application indicates in real-time the number of SMS credits your message consumes and the remaining number of characters you can still use when you are typing your SMS message content, the information does not take into account of merge tag and its merge data. The characters consumed between records vary and may affect the actual number of SMS credits consumed. Leave enough room for records with long merge data and reserve sufficient SMS credits are always recommended.
Not all delivery regions are equal. The rates of SMS delivery are different between different regions. Refer to the following list of delivery locations and their number of credits consumed on a standard SMS message (160 characters for English / 70 characters for non-English content).
To calculate the number of SMS credits needed for a message, multiply the message size with the credit rate of its delivery region. To calculate the total credits needed for a campaign, sum up consumption of all messages and round up to integer finally as the transaction.
MMS marketing campaigns are charged by SMS credits as well. Each MMS message can accommodate 200 KB multimedia content and 10,000 characters. MMS delivery is limited to Hong Kong and Macao only. 4 SMS credits will be charged for each message, no matter to Hong Kong or Macao.
When you use the "Test Send" button to test-send an email campaign, no email credits, attachment data, nor pdf pages will be deducted for the test send messages, as we do not need to rely on any third party to complete the task. However, for SMS/MMS messages, since the third party telcos are necessary for last-mile delivery, SMS credits will be deducted for test send messages (each click of the test-send button will record a transaction).
A multi-user working environment does not necessarily mean higher fees. SalesCatalysts does not impose any fees on building connections. If you simply need to have shared data and campaign access with other people, you do not have to pay anything extra. Additional fee only applies to the optional use of team functions that cover user management and resource sharing and applies to a team with more than two users only. Therefore, in most small and medium businesses' working environments, a multi-user working environment adds no burden to their budget.
