With SalesCatalysts, you can mark selective contacts manually and put them into a contact group. You can also create selection criteria like searching and put the result contacts into a contact group.
There are 2 types of contact groups you can build with SalesCatalysts: “Snapshot Group” and “Auto-update Group”.
As its name tells, it snapshots a list of contacts. The contact list never gets updated until you change it manually.
It auto-updates its contact list by memorizing selection criteria. Whenever used, its contact list gets updated automatically.
Auto-update groups are more used because they require the least daily maintenance. Whenever contacts are imported into the core contact management database, they are put into their corresponding groups automatically.
