Connection sets the foundation of data sharing while team focuses on centralized user administration and resource sharing. With team, you can:
- Have team admin set up and review all connections of team users
- Have team admin pre-configure your accounts before you first log in
- Enjoy an economy of scale by placing larger orders and sharing them among team users
- Request resources from or transfer resources to any team users
Anyone who creates a team becomes the team owner. Only the team owner can upgrade the team user limit or delete the team. Only one person can be the team owner. The team owner, by default will become the team admin upon team creation.
Team admins are persons who take up the primary daily administration role of the team and its members. Team admins can:
- Delegate Tasks
- Add or remove team members as team admins
- Allocate and Share Resources
- Transfer resources among team users without prior consent
- Setup resources sharing rules among team users without prior consent
- Facilitate Initial Account Setup
- Invite users to join a team
- Setup campaign approval relationship
- Load contact data for team members
- Enable Account Management
- Rename a team
- Change team users’ login emails
- Reset team users’ account passwords
- Setup or modify connections of members without prior consent
- Review and approve connections
- Review and approve team quitting requests
- Remove any users from team
- Lock any team member’s access to the application
- Delete team users’ accounts without prior consent
Team members are users who are managed and assisted by other people while running their regular tasks. Team members can:
- Share Resources
- Transfer resources (such as email and SMS credits) to any team member
- Request resources (such as email and SMS credits) from any team member
- Facilitate Initial Account Setup
- View a list of team members and build any necessary connection
- Let team administrators pre-configure the account for you, such as loading contact data into your account, configuring contact fields, setting up sender identities
- Enable Account Management
- Let team administrators build, review, and approve connections for you
Upon joining a team, you will have to follow the rules below:
- You will no longer have complete control of connection building. You can still initiate connections to anyone, but they will be reviewed and approved by team admins before they can be visible and accepted by the others. You can no longer accept nor reject any incoming connections; team admins decide for you.
- Team admins can block you from logging into the application.
- Team admins can reset your password.
- Team admins can change your login email.
- To quit a team, you will need approval from the team admins.
- You can no longer delete your account.
- If the team owner owns a free account, but you own a standard account, you cannot join his team.
- If your team owner own a free account, you cannot place an order until he makes the first purchase.
- If your team owner owns a free account, you also own a free account, both accounts will remain free when you join the team.
- If your team owner owns a standard account, yours will be upgraded to a standard account when you join the team.
- Anytime a team owner upgrades from a free account to a standard account, all team user accounts will be upgraded automatically too.
- After you upgrade to a standard account, SalesCatalysts will no longer provide you any free user benefits. There will be no more free daily email credit assignments. However, the restriction on number of contacts you can create, will also be removed. You will upgrade with private content hosting storage that shares the storage limit of the team owner. Any purchase of content hosting service from any team users will be stacked up as a combined content hosting storage limit shared by the whole team.
- You can join one team only where you have to quit one first before you enroll into another one.
Some other notes:
- Since connection is not limited to team users only, if you only want to share data and campaign access with the others, it is not a pre-requisite to create or to join a team. However, when use together with team, the building and uses of connection will be better regulated and more reliable.
